Due to a change in regulations it’s important that we now let you know how we handle your data, so for those of you interested, here’s our current Privacy Policy which sets out how we (Big Fish Photography) use and protect any information that you give us when you use this website.

Big Fish Photography is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

Big Fish Photography may need to change this policy from time to time and will update this page here if we do. You should therefore check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 24th April 2018.

This privacy policy sets out how Big Fish Photography uses and protects any information that you give Big Fish Photography when you use this website.


WHAT WE COLLECT WHEN YOU FILL IN OUR CONTACT FORM OR E-MAIL US:

We may collect the following information:

Your name
Contact information including any email address or phone numbers you provide
Your address (if you give us this)
The date of your wedding or other photographic shoot

If you go on to book us we will take the following additional information from you which will ensure your photographic shoot will run smoothly:

Names, addresses and contact numbers for any venues or locations you may be using for your wedding (or in the case of a portrait session, where this will be taking place)
First names of your key attendants at a wedding (Bridal Party, Parents, Siblings and Grandparents). In the case of a Portrait Session I will need first names of all of those being photographed
A photo of the two of you for our internal records (for weddings only)
The Date of your Wedding/Portrait Session
Contact information including any email address or phone numbers you provide
Any additional other supplier details (in the case of a wedding) who you may want us to share your photos with

WHAT WE DO WITH THE INFORMATION WE GATHER

We require this information to understand your needs and to provide you with the best photography service possible. We may use the information you have provided for:

Internal record keeping.
To improve our products and services.
We may periodically send you emails to check how your plans are coming along and to arrange meetings and phone calls to go over your details. We may also let you know about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

SECURITY

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.


HOW WE USE COOKIES

Our website does contain links to other wedding suppliers and their websites which we feel may be of interest to you. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS THAT WE HAVE TAKEN AT YOUR WEDDING OR PORTRAIT SESSION

Big Fish Photography may display any photographs which they have taken (covered by your contract) in their portfolio, literature, exhibitions, competitions, or advertising. This also includes the display of the photographs on the internet on Big Fish Photography’s website, blog and Social Media. When you agree to the images being online you fully understand that these may also appear elsewhere on the internet through people liking the images and that where the images appear is not in the photographers complete control.

You have the option to opt out of your images appearing online in your contract or by contacting us.

Your images will be kept on our internal system and on external hard drives as back up’s as well as protected Cloud Storage. Your images will not be given to anyone but you without your prior permission.


CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information by letting us know what you are not happy with and we will remove your details immediately.

If you do fill in the Contact Form we will never sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.
